American Legion
The members of the White Pigeon American Legion are a group of local veterans who are dedicated to helping our fellow veterans and serving the community of White Pigeon. We welcome you to visit our post and ask questions. All current active duty who serve honorably, and those who have served honorably during any of the eligible wars below are encoraged to join. The American Legion is made up of nearly 3 million veterans just like you.
Membership Eligibility Requirements
April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 (World War I)
December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (World War II)
June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955 (Korean War)
February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975 (Vietnam War)
August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984 (Lebanon/Grenada)
December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990 (Panama)
August 2, 1990 to today (Gulf War/War On Terrorism)
Auxillary

Membership Eligibility Requirements
- A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary.
- The mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great-grand-daughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras listed above.
- Step relatives are also eligible.
